Subject to clinical suitability, appointment availability and confirmation by the hospitalOur role
We arrange the travel, the hospital provides the care
We are travel advisors, not medical professionals. We arrange your travel and the logistics of getting to and from your appointments
Examinations, results, advice and any treatment are provided by the hospital or clinic under its own terms, and the hospital or clinic is responsible for them
We don't give medical advice, recommend tests or treatments, or interpret results, and we don't arrange cosmetic or plastic surgery
We don't collect medical records, test results or treatment details. You share these directly with the hospital or clinic
Before you book
- Talk to your GP about whether an appointment overseas suits you, and bring relevant medical records
- Ask the hospital or clinic about its fees, what's included and its terms before you confirm
- Ask your insurer whether planned medical appointments overseas are covered, as many travel policies exclude them
- Check current advice for China at smartraveller.gov.au
