About

Michelle Yin — Bespoke Travel Advisor, Melbourne

The person behind the journey.

Who I am

Who I am.

Michelle Yin is a Melbourne-based travel advisor who designs private, slow-paced journeys for Australian travellers, with particular depth in China.

Having lived in China, the United States and Australia, I bring a personal network and an insider's understanding of China — its people, its regional cultures, and the places that rarely make a standard itinerary. Japan, Southeast Asia and Australia are thoughtful extensions of that, not afterthoughts.

My background

My background.

My foundation at the Cornell School of Hotel Administration and years in hospitality shape how I plan: with warmth, precision and an instinct for service. Living across three countries taught me the difference between a good trip and a memorable one is rarely the itinerary — it's the people who open doors along the way.

Independent, with the backing of Fora

Independent, with the backing of Fora.

Yinfinite is an independent affiliate of Fora. Independence means the recommendations are mine — no packages to push, no quotas, no supplier I'm obliged to favour.

What the Fora affiliation adds is access. My clients benefit from over 8,000 preferred partnerships worldwide, including Virtuoso, Four Seasons Preferred, Rosewood Elite and Preferred Hotels & Resorts Platinum. In practice that means room upgrades where available, hotel and resort credits, complimentary breakfast, and early check-in or late check-out — at the same rates you would pay booking direct. Fora advisors have earned more than 59,000 five-star client reviews.

So you get a small agency's attention with a large network's leverage.

How pricing works

How pricing works.

Every journey is quoted individually, so there's no fixed package price. What you pay depends on where you go, how long you travel, your standard of accommodation and how much private guiding you want. I'll give you an honest indicative range in our first conversation, before any design work begins. Proposals itemise everything so you can adjust before we confirm. Flights are quoted separately.

How I work

How I work.

Every journey starts with a conversation, not a package. I'll ask who you're travelling with, what draws you and how you like to move. Then I design a proposal and we refine it until it feels right. I handle every booking — flights, hotels, permits, drivers, restaurants, private access — and stay reachable while you're on the road.
